As a company, NC America’s objectives are simple and clear. We’re here to provide high-quality games to you, our players. We’re here to serve you, our loyal community. 

Over the past couple of weeks, two of NC America’s tentpole games, Blade & Soul NEO and Lineage II, have suffered from very severe DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) attacks, the largest our company has ever seen. These attacks are a form of individual/corporate espionage. They’ve been relentless and destructive. Each time we identify and squash an attack, the anonymous party changes its attack patterns, and we start over again. They’re damaging not only to you, but to us. We’re not the only ones either. Several of our industry colleagues have experienced similar DDoS attacks as well.

We want you to know we have been, and continue, to work around the clock with our cloud providers to mitigate the attacks. With our teams’ combined efforts across the board, the situation has been improving steadily but the attackers haven’t stopped yet and some of our servers are still being affected. This is a crime and we’re taking the situation very seriously.
